NPy (Night Photography) workshops

I just started looking into this. Here's what I have found so far..

REI class in Fremont (does not look very detailed)

Tim Baskerville & The Nocturnes classes (this looks comprehensive)

Lance Keimig class in Big Bend Texas next week (I think that this is advanced)

Baskerville and Keimig class at Rayko Photo (this past summer)

Big Sur workshops in Fall and Winter

There are apparently several of these as well.

I was originally interested in the workshop offered by Sea-to-Summit based on my excellent experience in their Costal Photography workshop.

Then I noticed that Nikonians also offers a workshop to this location early next year. This is lead by the same guy who does the Eastern Sierra workshop.

Then a colleague told me about a famous guy who gives workshops to this location.

Finally the last offering also has a guidebook. I also found several web sites desribing the area. Maybe I could navigate it myself. I am not sure.

One thing is for sure: there are lots of good landscape photography sites within a few hours drive of my current location.

Finally, my guess is that all of these are good workshops.

everyone is heading to the Eastern Sierra around the same timeframe (late Oct)

I had previously looked at and I have been interested in the Eastern Sierra photography workshop offerred by Nikonians.org (see references below).

The pictures that I saw taken from that area are amazing. It is possible that I will still attend this workshop.

While looking around, I have come across another workshop held during this same period. It is somewhat cheaper and this guy Ken Rockwell is one of the workshop leaders. I am not sure about this guy but I know many photogs have strong opinions of him.

Sinally there is this yearly series from the Sacramento Bee newspaper that chronicles the changing leaves in the area

I cannot figure out if I could navigate this place on my own yet.
