Zivity

This is a web site that I found thru the meetup service.

When I read about their site, I was interested because (supposedly) they pay money to models and (somewhat less) to photographers based on their ratings a popularity.

After I read about the site, it seemed strange that the models must approved all published photos. Since I usually get a signed release for photos I take (and usually pay) this seems in conflict with that approach.

I attended one of their meetups and in addition to free sushi and beer, I got some good info about the service.

One of the photogs there sent me a trial subscription.

I looked thru the site and there were some hott models and good photos. Earlier I thought they only wanted models with lots of piercings and tatoos. I even saw some models that I have shot in other venues.

So I endeavored to find some models who would shoot for "TFZ" (=trade-for-Zivity). Then maybe the model could hope to make some real money with the pictures. In some ways I figured out that the regular model shoot (where the model is paid at the end of the shoot and the "releasee" gets to decide what happens then is really "money up front" and the Zivity way is "money based on quality".

Of course, just like ModelMayhem. the sessions that "show more" get more votes (views in MM-land).

But alas I could not find any models who were interested to shoot with me for TFZ.

So I let my trial subscription lapse.
